EDNI Counseling Services, LLC ("us," "we," "our," or "EDNI") is a private counseling agency, servicing Northern New Jersey.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that EDNI does not own or control, or to people that We do not employ or manage. This policy covers how EDNI treats personal information that We collect and receive. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information Collection and Use:

EDNI stores all communications content, including email content from incoming and outgoing email.

In general, you can visit Our web pages without identifying yourself or revealing personal information. We may track the internet domain address from which people visit our site and may analyze such data for trends and statistics.  Individual users, however, will remain anonymous unless you choose to tell us who you are.

Information Sharing and Disclosure:

EDNI does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except when we have your permission.

Duty to Warn:

In accordance with New Jersey law, EDNI is required to report to the appropriate authorities (or applicable third-parties) the following:

• Any information leading to suspicion or knowledge of the physical or sexual abuse or neglect of a minor child

• Any information leading to suspicion or knowledge of the danger to a third-party

• Any information leading to suspicion or knowledge of suicide of a client seeking treatment from EDNI

Confidentiality and Security:

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you, such as:

• Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

       We use SSL encryption when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as financial services information or payment                        information.

• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

​       EDNI adheres to the confidentiality spelled out by the HIPAA law.      

       We only collect email addresses for express purposes of contact. Collected information will not be sold or otherwise disclosed to        third-parties without the express permission.  EDNI reserves the right to disclose any information in its possession if required to            by law.

The primary purpose of the contact page is to establish communication between those interested in services through EDNI Counseling Services, LLC.  Use of email and the contact page is not a guarantee of a response and should not be used in emergency situations.  If in a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact the Crisis Agency in your region.

 

While We do the utmost required by law to ensure confidentiality, please note that no email or data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  Because of this, please limit identifying information.
